Vorremmo tutti lasciare una scia luminosa in questo mondo,
un brillante segno del nostro passaggio,
una straordinaria prova della nostra esistenza.
Ma questo non dev'essere il fine.
I segni più importanti sono quelli che lasciamo nel cuore degli altri,
profondi solchi scolpiti dai nostri sentimenti sulle anime altrui,
e che gli altri lasciano a loro volta dentro di noi...
e tutto questo è invisibile.
We would all leave a trail of light in this world,
a bright sign of our passage,
an extraordinary proof of our existence.
But this should not be the purpose.
The most important signs are those we leave in the others heart,
deep ruts carved by our feelings on the others soul,
signs which the others leave within us too...
and all this things are invisible.
